Historical and Genealogical CollectionsThe Grundy Library houses a rich collection of sources concerning the history of Bristol Borough and surrounding areas. Many of these resources are available to the public including:
In addition, the library offers access to two online resources: Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest Online. For more information, go to Online Resources. Some of our resources are still being sorted and indexed by volunteers from the Bristol Cultural & Historical Foundation, Inc. Therefore, they are only available by appointment. Appointments can be made at the library’s Information Desk. Several historical newspapers are available on microfilm including the Bucks County Courier Times (1911-present) are available at the library. They can be accessed during library hours. If you are interested in having library staff research obituaries or other articles from newspapers, please visit or call the Information Desk at 215-788-7891 ext. 6. For select newspapers, staff will research up to 3 obituaries/articles for a fee of $10. Research request forms are available at the library’s Information Desk. We will only search within a one month time period and results will be mailed or emailed within 2 weeks from your request.
