Foundation Directory Online by Candid

The Nonprofit Resource Center (NRC) is a Funding Information Network partner of the Foundation Center. As a network partner, the NRC provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising, proposal writing, and nonprofit management, as well as the Foundation Center’s electronic databases.  These databases FDO Professional and FDO Grants to Individuals are available only for use at Grundy Library either through our computers or by accessing through our public wifi.   



The Nonprofit Resource Center contains print resources covering a variety of topics, including:

  • Proposal Writing 
  • Nonprofit Law and Governance
  • Starting a Nonprofit
  • Fundraising and Prospect Research
  • Funding for Education

Online Databases 

Library Use Only  

Provides the most comprehensive and accurate information on U.S. grantmakers and their activities. Includes:

  • Detailed records of over 140,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grantmaking public charities

  • Over 3.8 million recent grant records

  • More than 500,000 key decision makers and leaders — board members, trustees, and donor names — fully indexed

  • Over 1 million IRS 990s - fully keyword-searchable

An online database containing detailed records of nearly 10,000 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grantseekers.
